Maungdaw, Arakan (Rohingya Vision) — Myanmar’s Border Guard Police (BGP) arbitrarily arrested three Rohingyas in southern Maungdaw last Thursday, whereas one of whom is believed to be dead due to the tortures in detention, a local said.
The three innocent people hail from Thinbaw Kway village also known as Kullon were arrested by the Border Guard Police from the camp base at the village in southern Maungdaw.

They are identified to be 1) MV Abdul Salam (son of) Abdul Khalek, 52; Mogghul Ahmed (son of) Nabi Hussain; and  Muhammed Noor (son of) MV Zakaria respectively.
“BGP arrested MV Abdul Salam by breaking the fence and doors of his house around 11:30AM. He was then brutally tortured and humiliated before the members of his family. Moreover, at 12:30 pm, the same BGP gang arrested Mogghul Ahmed by violently smashing the doors of the house. Subsequently after that, Muhammed Noor was also arrested.
First, MV Abdul Salaam and Muhammed Noor were accused of feeding the robber group led by Abdul Hakim. And Mogghul Ahmed was accused of letting his son illegally stay at his home as he (the son) returned home from Malaysia. Then, they were taken to BGP camp, inhumanely tortured and handed over to Inn-Dinn camp on January 30.
In the Inn-Dinn BGP detention again, MV Abdul Salaam and Mogghul Ahmed were beaten and tortured again. Later, they extorted Kyat 250000 from MV Abdul Salaam and Kyat 150000 from Moggul Ahmed for their release respectively. Finally, they were released last Sunday evening” said an elderly Rohingya asking not to be named.
“Yet, the BGP have not release  Muhammed Noor. After further investigation by his family, it was concluded that he is not in the camp. So, his family is extremely worried and fear that he has possibly killed by the BGP in the Inn-Dinn Camp” he continued.
The two BGP stooges, Abdul Munaf (son of) Khala , 35; and Noor Ahmed son of) Nabi Hussain,42; in collaboration with BGP always go on roundup outing on their motor cycle to target their next victims to arrest on mystified claims.
